The Theatre Green Book is a shared international resource created by and for theatre-makers to support the transition toward sustainable theatre. It offers unified principles and practical guidance to help industry professionals move toward a more ecologically sustainable future.
Originally launched in the UK as a collaborative initiative among theatre-makers, the Theatre Green Book has grown into an international network that connects theatre professionals across the globe. Its aim is to promote sustainable ways of living and working by providing a common language, practices, and standards that facilitate shared learning and knowledge exchange. Each country’s theatre community can, under license, translate and adapt the guide to suit their local context—while maintaining its core principles. The Theatre Green Book is a free resource for all theatre-makers, regardless of production scale or working environment.
